The Faculty of Engineering (FOE) warmly welcomes you to the University. In the Faculty of Engineering, students study basic principles and methodologies of engineering. Graduates work as engineers in many engineering establishments and allied industries. The acceptance of our graduates by industry players is mainly due to the fact that industry is engaged to make inputs into curriculum development to make it demand-driven.

Practical training within the faculty is also deepened by the commercialization of production units in collaboration with industry players The faculty runs academic programmes in Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

The aim of the faculty is to become a dynamic and advanced epicenter for training engineers capable of solving societal challenges through leadership, teamwork and communication.


The Agricultural Engineering Department is one of the four (4) academic departments under the Faculty of Engineering running three (3) programmes, namely; Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Agricultural Engineering, HND (CBT) in Agricultural Engineering and Agricultural Engineering Technician. The Department trains students on the application and practices that facilitate agricultural production and lessen the related drudgery in agriculture.

The Department of Civil Engineering in the University focuses on designing programmes for students and providing them with practical training for technical, supervisory and middle-level management role in the civil engineering industry. The programme is structured to give insight in core areas such as surveying, material  testing and site inspection, contract administration, and structural design and analysis.

Department of Electricals and Electronic Engineering

The Electricals/Electronic Department runs various programmes in electrical/electronic engineering field for power systems, instrumentation and control and telecommunication system for industries in Ghana. The products from the department are trained to be self-sufficient and reliant. Graduates from the department are  equipped to prolong life of equipment, instruments, machines, structures and infrastructures.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering has roots in the General Engineering Department and prides itself for producing hundreds of skilled professionals in the various sectors in the Ghanaian Economy and beyond.
